Health

Having been morbidly obese most of my life I didn’t realize how much food and my surroundings played a huge part in my being. I would eat whatever I wanted without thinking about the toll it was taking on my body. There were days where I would drink nothing but soda. I hated the way I looked in pictures and would rarely allow them to be taken of me. I love going to the movies and it became a struggle to fit in the theater seats – it was embarrassing. Buckling my seat belt in the car was another challenge. I was extremely unhappy with who I had become and suffered for a long time with depression and anxiety.

All of the medical ailments I had due to my weight were starting to hinder my living. In August of 2014 I decided to start with a medically developed weight loss program to learn better ways of eating, and it helped to prepare me for what was to come. Seven months after I stopped that program, I had the gastric sleeve procedure. I know firsthand the lifestyle modifications that are required with weight loss and the obstacles that are to come.

Along my journey, post bariatric surgery, I have suffered two miscarriages and was diagnosed with Postpartum depression (PPD). I know exactly how it feels to have things spiral out of control.

I bravely chose to regain my confidence, reclaim my leadership, pause, take a breath, and reclaim my best life. I am now more attuned to my body’s needs and perceive the world around me in a new light.

Weight to me is both mental and physical with

both going hand in hand.

My passion is guiding others through their journey and celebrating their successes with them.

Taking the first step towards change is often the hardest thing to do. With the right tools and knowledge, you can pave the way towards both personal and professional success.
